These are Sparkling Run specific FAQs. Please also check our main FAQs for any queries about the running element of this event.

Are dogs allowed to take part / canicross?

Yes we encourage canicross at the Heritage Trail Series for well-behaved dogs. Please ensure your dog is on either a short lead or harness at all times.

Can children attend?

We are afraid that due to licensing no children under the age of 18 can attend.

How old do I have to be to enter the run / buy a spectator ticket?

Runners and spectators must all be 18+

Will you post Race Numbers?

Yes - please complete the address fields in the 'guest' details within the registration system. 'Guest' means the booker.

How much will parking be?

Parking will be £5 per car and we would like to encourage you to car share where possible. Parking passes will be available to purchase when entries open. N.B. Passes must be printed at home and displayed in your car upon arrival at the car park.

I am a Leonardslee Lakes & Garden member, how do I get first chance to enter?

Leonardslee will be in touch with you by email to let you know how and when you can enter.

What if I don't want the included glass of wine at the end?

You are more than welcome to gift your glass to a friend or family member attending ... or another attendee! We are unable to refund this. If you would prefer a non-alcoholic drink instead, this will be possible.

I have an entry for the summer Heritage Trail Series the day after, can I transfer to Sparkling Run?

We can offer a £10 discount if you enter both - please let us know when you have entered both and we will refund you the difference.

Are you offering a discount if I sign up to Sparkling Run and a Heritage Trail Series event?

Unfortunately not. Sparkling Run is a premium event and we are unable to discount either.

Is my place transferable?

Yes we can transfer your entry. There will be a £5 admin fee plus the fee of £31.50 for the post race entertainment, wine and BBQ.

Can I pay less if I only want to run / walk 5km?

No - tickets are for the 10km and we are not offering an official 5km event. It is up to you if you wish to complete just one lap at the ticket price.

When will entries open for Sparkling Run?

Entries will open on Friday 31st January.

What is the route map for Sparkling Run?

We are finalising the route but plan on using the majority of the route from the December 29th event where there were two equal laps of 5km.

Are you offering refunds?

We cannot offer refunds.  If the event cannot take place due conditions beyond our control e.g. high winds, flooding, electrical storm, we will postpone the event and hold on the next available date.  You will be given the option of taking a place at the postponed date, or the 2026 event date, or to transfer your entry to another runner for free.
