Heritage Trail Series is a unique opportunity to run through a historic and prestigious venue not normally open for running.
Runners can also book discounted venue tickets for friends and family so everyone can enjoy an amazing day out together.
Take on a stunning 5km or 10km run for each season at the stunning Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens. This is an exclusive experience in a venue not normally open to running!

Experience changing landscapes through the seasons for a unique trail running experience.
Choose to run 5km or 10km
Starting at around 9am, the 10km running route will take in two laps of Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens. The 5km will take in just one lap for a less challenging experience.
Routes will be mainly off-road with a mixture of gravel paths and grass fields, with the occasional road section thrown in. They will be challenging but will be designed so as to explore the best parts of the venue including the lakes and woodland gardens.
The 10km route will loop back through the start village halfway and then again before finishing.
Friends and family are welcome to join you at the Start to cheer you on. If they want to experience all that the venue has to offer, you can purchase spectator passes for them when you sign up.
Enjoy all the wildlife, including deer, wallabies, as well as incredible sculptures, vineyards, and various cafes. Or why not book dinner at the Interlude restaurant and a stay in the historic house?
The Start, Finish and Event Village will be located just beyond the car park and will be easy to find upon arrival.
Here you will find some food and drink stands for light refreshments, as well as an Info Point.
Car parking will be available to book upon registration at £5 per vehicle.
The year is made up of four seasonal events:
Spring: Sunday 24th March 2024
Summer: Sunday 9th June 2024
Autumn: Sunday 20th October 2024
Winter / Christmas special : Sunday 29th December 2024
If a runner completes all four events in the year, you will find that your medals merge to create a very special, four-challenge shape!
